Your questions – our answers

The foundation promotes medical research in general and cancer research in particular.

The competition is aimed at young researchers who are working on a project in the field of medical research in general or in oncology in particular at a Swiss hospital, institute or in private practice.

No, but younger researchers are particularly encouraged to submit their work.

The application should include a description of the project, the study protocol approved by the ethics committee, any results and publications already available, information on the intended purpose and a curriculum vitae.

Research projects within the scope of the Swiss Human Research Act (HRA) must obtain approval from the cantonal ethics committee before they are carried out. This approval must be submitted with the application, but at the latest before the award is made.

The required documents should be saved in a single PDF file and sent to lic. iur. Simon Rosenthaler, President of the Foundation Board, rosenthaler@ssp-law.ch.

As a rule, two projects are awarded a prize each year and each receives CHF 25,000 in funding.
